History - Many seasons past, in another land, I was born Eowyn Evenstar. My parents were wanderers, both bards. They traveled the forests in a small band, living off the land. Never did we stay in one place very long.
As a young child I saw much of the land and was taught the ways of the forest. The Elven Way was as much a part of me as I was a part of the forest. I was truely at peace with myself and the world.
Like many other tales this one also turns sad...
Our party was ambushed by a group of edan brigands, as we came upon a crossroads. They were highly skilled and aided by a mage. If not for my father's insistance in teaching me how to dance with the sword, I wouldn't have escaped.
In the mayhem, I was seperated from my parents, and from a distance, I was ill fated to watch as both my beloved parents were riddled with arrows.
That is all I will say on that.
Devestated by the attack, the few elves of our band that did escape, regrouped deep in the nearby forest, and tried to comfort those injured in the melee. Unfortunately, too many of the injured were beyond our limited healing skills, so I volunteered to seek out aid.
Knowing one of the crossroads led to a nearby elven village, I set off in its direction. Careful to stay well away from the road, but close enough to see any passing travelers or remaining brigands, I made my way along the road.
For the second time in 2 days, my life would take another significant turn. This time for the better, although I did not know it at the time.
Half a day's walk from the ambush I happened upon an elven merchant's caravan. Heavily guarded, and led by the prominent Culnare Elendil, the caravan was a sight for sore eyes.
After learning of my plight, Culnare quickly agreed to provide assistance. With the help of the merchant's caravan those injured were saved, and fortunately the edan brigands were never seen again.
Being of the age one first goes it alone, It was then that I decided to travel with Culnare's caravan. In reflection, I was foolish young maiden, as part of my reason for traveling with the caravan, was due to the fact that I was smitten by Culnare's son, Allanen. However, it was a decision I would make a thousand times over with no regrets.
The spark that appeared between Allanen and I quickly grew into blazing fire. It was one of the happiest times of my life. Not long afterwards we were engaged to be betrothed.
Once again, tragedy struck....
Culnare became involved in some scandal involving an elven maiden of nobility. In disgrace, he abandoned his merchant business and his family and fled to unknown lands.
Months later, Allanen discovered the falseness of the accusations and his fathers innocense. Upon learning of rumors of his father in Neverwinter, that fool elf set off in search of his father in the middle of the night without even a word!!
Never had I been that angry at another elf. It was many months before I could control my emotions at the thought of Allanen. And once again, I decided to go off alone in search of the elf I hated, yet loved.
In my search, I had learned of the demise of Neverwinter. All hope was lost upon hearing of the tales of woe, and more importantly of the shadow.
I had just about abandoned my search when I heard tales of a young elven merchant in the city of Yew, Brittania. Tis where I finally found Allanen!! Not only did I find Allanen, but I was twice blessed in finding friends among Tel'Mithrim. This is the reason I am now petitioning for membership within the company.
