History - Before the elven city of Myth Drannor was left abandoned, it was home to the grey-elf Corlentiel En'Seer. Corlentiel had made a grave mistake in the eyes of his fellows by taking a young human woman as a bondmate. Ashamed and feeling betrayed, Corlentiel took his new bride and first born son, Vara, to the small farming community of Mistledale.
Corlentiel and Tabatha had a son together. They named him Glorfindle. To Tabatha's dismay, Corlentiel refused to pass his last name to his son stating that no half breed could carry the name En'seer. Growing up, Glorfindles relationship with his father did not improve. It was never understood how Corlentiel could begrudge his own son, a half-elf, when his wife was human.
Tabatha died when Glorfindle had just reached the age of thirty. He was shattered. With his mother gone he had no one he felt close to. The only one he could talk to was his uncle Delothiel. Delothiel watched over Glor closely after his mothers death. He interveined when the locals would give him trouble for being a half-breed. On a couple of occasions when his uncle was not around, Glor had been beaten badly. His uncle decided it was time for Glor to learn to fight for himself.
Glor studied the bow under his uncles guideance for many years, and practiced swordplay with his half-brother Vara. Vara and Glorfindle had begun to become close. Seeing this, Corlentiel bade Vara travel with him to the elven Isle of Evermeet. Both left leaving Glorfindle behind in Mistledale with his uncle.
After many months Glorfindle decided it was time to make his own way in the world and seek a place where he belonged At the suggestio of his uncle, Glor set out to find the oricle, Rana. An old woman who lived alone in the mountains north of the Shadow Gap.
After a week of searching he found the wise old woman. She seemed to know everything about Glorfindle and told him that there was a place for him. That place was not in Cormyr however, but far away in another realm. A realm called Sosaria. She showed him images of the elves that lived in a small glade there and told him that they would accept him for what he was without prejudice or hatred. To help Glorfindle get to Sosaria the old oricle gave him a small obsidian stone. She told him to keep it with him always, and when he was needed he would be called.
Glorfindle returned home to pack his things and wait. He didnt have to wait long. One afternoon the stone began to glow warmly. Glorfindle took the stone in his hand and before him opened a gateway of shimmering blue light. Steeling himself he stepped through...
The city of Britain bustled around him. Disoriented from his trip, Glor began his search in earnest for the elves the oricle had shown him. Many months later he finally found them in the forests outside of the town of Yew. As the oricle had predicted, they took him in. All seemed to care not that he was a Breed, only that the blood of elves was in him. He was home at last.
