He spoke through a medium, Crimson Ghost, and told us that he was held inside a crystal in a "Place of Lies" where his spirit was being tormented in vengeance for a wound he infliced upon Khellenduras during his last battle.

After speaking to the spirit for a time, we decided to send a scouting expedition into the dungeon Deceit. It seemed the logical location for the "Place of Lies", especially since Khellenduras' temple is also on Dagger Isle.

The party fought through an army of undead creatures and delved ever deeper into the depths of the earth.

Once we fought to the bottom of the dungeon we came into a room filled with liches. They were hovering over a statue that looked remarkably like our deceased bladesinger. It took a moment for the party to clear the room, and throughout our time there occasional liches would rush at us from the darkness.

Once the attention of the liches was taken from the statue, the spirit of Q'Wellen was again able to speak with us. His voice drifted from a crystal ball nearby as he told us that we must choose to either help him break free and continue his journey to death or bring him back to this life.

We decided to attempt and bring him back to this world and left the depths of Deceit with the statue. We brought it to the Shrine of Justice and attempted, through Myra, to discover how to get him out of the statue. Every attempt seemed to cause him great pain, so we decided to wait until more research could be done. He rests now at the Shrine.
