Instinctive alarms went off in her mind as she saw the four nobles of House Maerdyn ride by her hiding place. She noted each one as they passed.

Vaerlyr'ra, Sixth Daughter, ruthless, the leader and one to be feared, her skills at sacrifice were legendary.

Makhila, Eighth Daughter, cunning, almost insane, with a silver tongue that was skilled in making others believe her lies.

Drax'l, Elderboy, The right hand of his matron, unmerciful, a skilled fighter, he had held his title long enough to be dreaded.

Istovir, House mage, skilled at poisons and casting high level spells' no other could manage. He had also earned his title justly.

She had additionally heard rumors that another daughter had arrived. Shaking her head at the display of power the house was showing, realization dawned. Why all four at once?
Turning, and in doing so, leaving behind a once in a life time kill target, she made her way to the entrance tunnel. Xas, someone had been here. Using the last of the power in her cloak, she followed.

Guided by a force he was not aware of, the messenger made one mistake. Stopping to remove a rock from his shoe, he sat down on a rock. The dart was quick and flew true, dropping him dead as he reached to replace the footwear.

Scanning his possessions, she found a long wrapped package. Feeling the power and darkness emanating from the package as she picked it up, a smile slowly crossed her features.

Wrath.

The message was clear, and falling easily under its control she listened.

Take me to Mord'sythe.
