She had left it alone, but it called, weaving its song through her every waking moment.
Looking down at her wasted body a single tear flowed freely.
“Please,” Veil whispered, “Not yet.”
As if in response the song in her mind increased, tantalizing her, until she reached and held the sword in her hand.

Nim’Alkar spoke.
“It is time.” “You knew the price when you asked to bring him back.”

“I will miss them so.” They are my reason for being.”

“You agreed to walk the path of the bearer Veil, to fight Wrath at every turn.” “You cannot do both” “Did you tell them?”

“Celes and Zapannia are aware yes, and I returned what they need to Celes.” “I believe Zap remembers the book Bella wrote before leaving.”

“The Sisterhood will be fine Veil. They are strong leaders.”

Nodding slowly and reciting one last prayer in her mind, Veil spoke the words of the small spell that would change her forever and erase her name from the records of The Sisterhood of the Ivory Maiden.
