I have seen your studies. I have examined your work. Now, only now, do you see the full potential that I saw in you so long ago.
Perhaps my sentence was premature. Perhaps it was too harsh. Perhaps there is still the possibility of great things within you.

I offer you this reprieve, Sunveil. I offer you the opportunity to return to the fold. Join those that would learn from me and benefit from my guidance. Allow me to let your eyes "see" again, and I will not disappoint.

But be warned. If I remove the rune from your brow and find you have not changed your ways... if I discover that you still wish to manipulate me or use me for your own purposes, then I will replace it with a mark of more insidious design. You know that it is within me to do so.

I await your decision. There are many ways to contact me. I am certain that you know them all. Do so only if you are certain that you can bear the path for which I know you are destined.

Trenton Sythe

Myra'd returned home and found the note lying on her bed, amid the crumpled blankets and scattered pillows. Closing her eyes, she could almost smell his scent. In a numb state, she knelt before the 'shrine' in her bedroom and reread the letter. For hours she read, and reread the words written there. Her mind tumbled over many ideas, questions, plans. But which would be the best course? Which.

After a time, she rose and journeyed to find the one person she knew that could help her. And he would do so without intending to or caring if he did. She would find her way out of the hellish limbo her life had become.

Or so she thought and hoped.
