Meeting back at the Silver Arrow plans were laid for the next move, exchange of the Helm for Mallorn."Which Orc fort did they come from?" Celeb spoke above the hum of voices.
The room fell into a hush..
Galethien stood up from the barstool. "It is known that this tribe of Orcs are from the fort just south of Yew. And they are a fairly large one. The Orcs village is surrounded by a stockade, so it will not be easy to penetrate. I am sure there will be scouts out into the forest to be watching. Even more so now that they we will be coming there. There are ways in to the fort front and back"
"We'll stock up on what we need here and then started riding for the fort. From here to Yew and then ride straight south to the fort. The hunting party will split in to three groups. Joiwind will take the north side and Celeb will take the south side. Take three each of the other parties with you. I and Galethien along with a couple others will scout out the western outer edge of the fort. Before we go into the fort let's scout it out first. I am sure we will run into some resistance."
After some time of hard riding south, the hunting party came close to the outer edge of where the Orc fort stood. Splitting up into the three groups, south, north and to the west. As soon as we grew closer we met with Orcs and the skirmishes began.
Just west of the fort, an Orc came from behind trees. Putting her hand up signaling to stop. We gathered in half circle, them between us and the fort. Ye could still hear swords ringing in the background.
"Youse elbs hab da elmit? Wher elmit, gab me see elmit" Grugdush spoke as her eyes darted from the party to a tree and then back to the party. She then made a clicking sound and another Orc appeared from behind the tree carrying something wrapped up.
"Zoria'Vara'ga, show da elbs da tree. The other Orc unwrapped an object she carried in her arms. It was the Mallorn, besides being slightly wilted, the Mallorn seamed to be okay.
"Show usk da elmit" Brisid pulled the Helm out.
"Web trab now." Grubdush turned to Zoria'Vara'ga and nodded.
Zoria'Vara'ga lumbered over to Brisid as he climbed down from his mount. In a flash of light Zoria'Vara'ga grabbed the Helm and took off running towards the fort, helm in one arm and the Mallorn in the other.
"Get her, she's got helm and the Mallorn.' A shout went up.
The Grugdush took off running towards the fort as we pursued. Two arrows sailed through the air hitting their mark and the two Orcs crumpled to the ground.
Brisid picked up the helm and then checked the Mallorn to see if it was alright and then handed it to Galethien.
In the short distance to the fort there were great screams and chants rang through the air.
*Silver Arrow, quickly. Get the Mallorn back to Tel'Ruid" Brisid shouted.
The Helm and the Mallorn seedling sat on the counter of the Silver Arrow.
"What is to be done with the Helm?" a voice asked.
" We are not sure, what kind of powers it has nor what its purpose is". Galethien answered. "Maybe we should see if it help us in some way."
"Any thing that is evil, is just that. No good can come from it. It should be destroyed." Elvin spoke concerning.
"We will keep it for now and study it. Maybe this will shed some light. But at least for now the Helm is in safer hands. And if it was meant to be used for evil in some way against all of us, we can avoid it for now in our possession." Brisid spoke. "Now that we have the Mallorn back with us, we need to place it in a safer place so that none could it from again."
