Kiravel entered the Silver Arrow to find it empty of patrons. That was not too troubling given the late hour, but the air had a tinge of malice about it and though her patrol in the outer woods was over, it would not help but to investigate.

She took a quick survey of the area. In the soft glow of the elven lamps, not much had been disturbed. But there at the head of the room was an object, resting at the feet of the great chair. She walked towards it to find a scimitar, a weapon of uncouth hand and a stranger to neither pirates nor barbarians.

Closer inspection revealed the source of the tavern's unease for the blade was treated with what was most likely a vile poison. She was no expert in such matters, but the similarity to Drow formulary was evident.

Immediately, she was put on guard. Did pirates, barbarians or Drow simply leave behind such a weapon as a calling card? This was unlike their typical behavior of death and destruction. And yet there was no mistaking the obvious placement at the central fixture on the stage. But there was also no sign of a struggle, which all but ruled out the defeat of such an individual by one of the Grey Company. She decided to take the sword to show to those of wiser counsel.
