Galethien finished washing up the dinner dishes. Walking over to the fireplace she lit a candle and gently stirred the ashes. Victoria Rose had already retired for the night. Blowing out the candle on the table, she made her way upstairs. It being a still and quiet night, Galethien decided to sit on the balcony, the sound of the ocean was always soothing. Closing her eyes, listening as the waves gently lapped at the shore and then rolling back inwards to the ocean.
Feeling something brush delicately against her cheek, as she heard a whisper."Aaye, ele mela hin. "
Before Galethien stood an apparition. Clothed in a long white flowing robe, her silver hair fell in waves below her waist, eyes the color of emeralds. Upon her crown she wore a silver tiara encircling an amethyst gem, the symbol of the House of Elvádë. A soft white light surrounded her form casting a glow to the night. In her hand she held a clear crystal.
"Aaye Alwvyan, ele atara. I have missed you." Galethien spoke.
"Ele hin, I am never far and always near. Galethien the time is coming near. I have a gift for you. " As she handed the crystal towards Galethien. "Pay heed to what you see in the crystal. For soon all will be revealed to you. I must go now. Namaarie."
A chilly breeze made Galethien shiver causing her to open her eyes. The moon was bright in the night sky leaving a silver glow banishing any shadows. Looking around she saw that she was by herself. Feeling something in her hand she unfolded her fingers to reveal a clear crystal in the palm of her hand. Gazing into the crystal an image appeared as if she was seeing her self inside the crystal.
Something was pulling her, urging her to go deeper and deeper into the forest. At a distance Galethien could see a bright light and followed it as it seamed to guide her way. As she came closer to the light the mist of the forest seemed to disappear. There, in the midst of the clearing from where the light originated, sat a small Mallorn sapling. As Galethien stood at the edge of the light, it seemed that the sapling continued to grow towards the sky, unfolding branches uncurling leaves. As it grew, the light grew with it, seeming to consume the dark of the night, and surrounding Galthien in its grasp. At the same she felt both confusion and a sense of peace. Not understanding this, she heard the sound of footsteps on the other side of the clearing. As the steps came closer, she realized the footsteps were that of another elf. Talanithus stopped and stood by the tree. Understanding blossomed within her at the image, and she slowly nodded.
The crystal went dark. Looking up into the stars, the moon was 3/4 across the night sky. Feeling tired Galethien went inside. She knew that she must seek out Talanithus, for he had the answers she was seeking.
